Every year, families across the city flock to Museum at Eldridge Street to spend Christmas Day signing, dancing, and dabbling in Yiddish. Clarinetist Greg Wall’s band Klezmerfest! has won awards for their interactive musical show Klez For Kidz – and they bring it back to the Museum at Eldridge Street on Wednesday, December 25th. Their performances meld old-country sounds with contemporary Lower East Side energy, and it always gets the whole family singing and dancing in the aisles.
Christmas this year falls in the middle of Hanukkah, so we’ll celebrate with special holiday songs and a menorah lighting featuring fun and historic menorahs from the Museum’s exhibition Lighting the World: Menorahs from Around the Globe. Timed tickets at 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM.
